all it really takes is money, funding gets you cameras, crew, film and actors as well as sets, decor, costumes, all that. Then once you have the movie made, it takes money to enter film festivals. Or you find a producer who wants to make your movie, and they fund it, but often you lose control of the process. And it's suddenly their movie.

if u wanna make a real movie, use a video camera. for an animated movie, use something like macromedia flash 8, or if u dont have it or wanna buy it, microsoft powerpoint

Buy a camcorder (you can get them pretty cheap) if you don't already have one). Write scripts (you can base them on books if you want) and hire people to be your actors. It's fun! And download "Windows Movie Maker" for free so you can edit them (add music and subtitles and credits and stuff).

well you can call some people that have ideas and then make a documentary and then you can work your way up by showing your documentary to people to see if they like it and if they do like it then that might mean it would make a good movie.
