Can anyone recommend an allergy medicine I can take that won't make me sleepy that does not require a prescription?

claritin has gone over the counter. I used it in prescription form for a long time and it helped my seasonal allergies alot. Get the store's knock-off version of it and save yourself some money. It the exact same medication just made by a different company

well I have to take 3 allergy pills everday and the ones I take have the active ingredient CHLORPHENIRAMINE and they work great. They don't make me sleepy but then again i'm use to them. You can buy these at the dollar store.

i have allergy problems as well since October of last yr. its driving me crazy there's times that i cant breath it scares me so i have been trying all sorts of allergy tablets nothing seemed to work for me. but i did run across benadryl allergy diphenhydramine hci antihistamine tablets it works wonders for me i can breath freely now no more itchy sore eyes sneezing, runny nose, & no more itchy throat.
