Define player.
He's a bad team player by most standards, but his skills as an individual are incredibly refined and consistent. His defense is improving, but he still hasn't reached Jordan's level.
Put it this way. I don't like the guy very much, but I'd put $ on Kobe in a 1on1 game with anybody that's ever played but Jordan.

kobe is aswome and extreme talent has 3 championship rings and scored 81 points but hes not the greatest. he is one of the greats but letz be real what exactly makes him best. So far he looks pretty lost withought shaq. Sure hes a statistical machine but that hasnt lead him anywhere closer to a championship. Wilt chamberlain wus another statiscal fenon but he only had 2 championships. Bill russel had 11 becuase he made hes team looks good. he was a team player. as corny as that mite sound. Just like jordan who had to rbing down his 37.ppg average kobe needs to find that balance between high statistics and jsut wining a ball game. He will be known as one of the greats and future hall of famer but NEVER as THEE great.

Kobe or Dwaine, which ever one is playing on Shaq's team at the moment. Shaq requires too much attention which allows the athletic players to shine.

He's not the greatest player. Maybe when he retires we can judge him. and for the people who are wondering why he shoots so much!!..... LOOK WHO HE'S PLAYING WITH. It's kinda hard to look like a "team player" when ur team is full of scrubs and when you lose.. ur name is brought up. I would go down shooting too!!!

OK, D-Wade is NOT better than Kobe - just because he won the championship.
Lebron is better than both of them. Dwayne can't shoot as well as either of them.
Lebron>Kobe>D-Wade plain and simple
