There is definitely a crisis. Energy demand continues to rise much faster than supply can compensate and to top it all off we are quickly approaching the limit of all cheaply available petroleum.

Yes there is, because the energy companies didn't have the sense of investing in new and renewable sources of energy years ago when oil prices were cheaper and they had the resources to do it. The Bush administration gets plenty of blame, and, to a point, they deserve it, but the Clinton administration could have found ways to give incentives to energy companies to go into renewable energy source development. In my book, neither party escapes blame for this energy crisis.

yes, we are running out of oil, we are causing global warming,
there is a very real crisis, for Bush to say so is good proof that it is a fact as its not what he was saying when he took office.
He would rather that there was not a crisis, and pretended for a long time there wasn't one.
