Hell no!!! There was easily half a dozen teams who were far more deserving of the Cup than the Canes.

The question is hard to swallow because of course Carolina deserved to win the Stanley Cup...THEY WON!!! Did they win 4 of the 7 games ? YES!!! Did they win 4 games in each of the previous rounds to get to the Stanley Cup Finals? ABSOLUTELY!!! Did Cam Ward get the Conn Smythe Trophy and the MVP of the Stanley Cup Playoffs? YES!!! Why is there even a question like this out here? Congrats to the Hurricanes!!! Congrats to Edmonton for making such a great run!!! It was a very entertaining Stanley Cup Finals!!! Who will win it next year?

well, i supopse they did, obviously they were the strongst team this year and i wouldn't deny them this victory. however, i would like to see some canadians win next year! it's been so long and they're really the best by far, only since a few years, canadian teams don't seem to have been playing very well. i don't know what has gotten into candian hockey players, but they weren't doing very well in the olympics, they weren't doing very well in teh world cup and now they screwed up the stanley cup as well!!!!! i just hope they get back to what they once were, what they can be, before next year's season!!

Only one team deserves to win the Stanley Cup, and that team is whoever actually does win it, so yeah, the Hurricanes deserved it.

I think they deserved it because they did win, but I also think that it was cheesy that they played against all teams who had significant injuries. If I was on the team, I would kind of feel like I was lucky to win the cup. If the Sabres had healthy defensmen and Tim Connolly, then they would have breezed past the Canes. F the Canes.

No. They barely get by Buffalo when 2/3's of Buffalo's defensemen and their leading scorer for the playoffs are hurt. They barely get by the Oilers after they lose there Conn Smyth candidate Roloson. Heck if the goalie had not given the puck up in game one to Brindamour, they would have never made it to game 7.

Only injury they had is Doug "I skate so slow becuase in my pants I have a" Weight, and they got Cole back from a broken neck. How lucky can you get?

Don't let me forget their sucky fans. Why don't you try selling out a conference final playoff game? Too busy lookin at Nascar and their cousins.

Of course they did! They fought for it since the season started back in October and all through the playoffs. You can't say they only won because of a fluke or because of injuries to the other teams players... those are just excuses from the losers. They earned it, they won it, they HAVE it, and they definiteley deserve it. Go 'Canes!

Any team that wins it gets their props. Next year the Leafs are going 82 and 0 in the regular season and 16 and 0 in the playoffs :)

Yeah, they deserve it. They won it. They pushed farther than the other hockey teams. They smarter on the games they won. Of course they made bad plays, but they made good ones too. Which hockey team dont.
