OMG their clothes and music and the whole diner/soda fountain thing was awesome!
And if I had to pick an event then I guess World War 2 because I find the 40's interesting too.

Iwo Jima.... I've books and watched almost every history channel documentary but I still would rather see and experience for myself the awesome horror and sacrifice our boys made for that 2 mile piece of ash in the Pacific.
