Why is it considered bad for men to wear pink?

When I see the color brown, I don't say "oh, that's pretty!"

But when I see pink, I say/think, "Oh, that's prrrrrrrretty!!!"

I've seen a lot more men wear pink shirts, t-shirts and I think it looks ok. For some weird reason even if people think it looks great they won't say it incase their the only ones thinking it so end up making some negative comment about it saying its gay or for women etc... Its like asking why women wear blue!? Its the same thing at the end of the day if pinks considered a females colour

As others have said, it is viewed as a woman's color. Actually some women don't look good in pink either. LOL

It depends on the outfit actually. A good polo and some plaid shorts with a little pink in the plaid looks fine.

Don't go too crazy but during the summer pink works.

it was bad for men to wear pink in the 80's, and it will continue to be bad into your 80's. With so many other colors to choose from, I wonder if you're asking the right question?

REAL MEN DON'T WEAR PINK. Look at the straight celebrated male actors in our society. Do they wear pink? They have an image to uphold - that is why they avoid pink. To avoid looking like a ******* cotton candy!

Pink is for girls. It's a soft color with no masculin points to it. It shows a softness that a man should not have. And if your waring pink in prision that's not something you really want the think about. Pink is attractive, but only on women.

It's not "bad", for example in Italy there are people with pink pants and purple shirts all over the place. But in USA, it's a bit...well....weird! It's, as most of them say, for GAY MEN ONLY!

Its not bad if you like pink AND you look good in it. I wouldn't wear it everyday if I was a guy but there's nothing wrong with wearing it every once in awhile.

I do not think it is bad. I think it cute if a guy wears pink. It shows he is comfortable enough with himself and his sexuality to be able to possibly take a little ridicule.

depends on what era you grew up in. I grew up in the 80's-therefore, no pink on guys. todays 20 year olds and younger like it on guys. same as earrings. (on guys) much more acceptable now. I say pink is cool on a guy---if you have the berries to wear it , who cares? no different than anything else you would wear-difference of opinon. go for it
