I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and the answer is No,if it hadn't been for my optician I would be blind by now. If your optician says you need glasses you can bet he's right. He can only make a mistake if you give him the wrong information as to what you are or are not seeing when he does the tests.If he makes a mistake then the patient is usually at fault but with the equipment they have to day half of the old types of tests are no needed.
They are not like GP's who constantly make mistakes.

coz by examination, the doctor notice that your eye is making an effore to see (which is involuntary) and that effort makes your eyes render more weak by time.
believe me it will save a lot of bad consequences in the future
