A chigger is a little bug that lives in the water and dies when the weather gets warm enough. We used to put clear nail polish on their bites when we were kids - probably not the best cure.

a lil bug. I rememer I used to work at a restaurant that had chiggers on the lettuce...soooo ghetto, I can't believe people didn't report that place. Ugh!
