For the definitive 80s experience..., "The Breakfast Club" comes HIGHLY recommended.
Others would include Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles which are basically all chick-flicks but done in cheesy 80s style, lol.
It starred the poster girl for the 80s generation & that's Molly Ringwald.
You could also check out Michael J. Fox's, "The Secret of My Success" which is another slice of 80s pop culture. There're tons more to mention here, hard to pick but "The Breakfast Club" is a good place to start.
