Because it pointed that way? I give up. What is the punchline?

I LOVE the GTO Pontiac did a good thing in bringing the Aussie Holden car to the US.

Did it really go down hill. I was thinking about getting one but settled for the 02 WS6 Trans Am. I read that they only planned to sell a few here in the US. It was a limited model. They are coming from another country so I doubt they really went downhill. They just gave it a try. I also read that we may see a new one and a American platform (same as the new camaro).
And for the comment below, you can't compare a GTO and a G6. That would be like comparing a bicycle and a motorcycle or more likely the Corvette to the Cobalt. Two different cars.

A lot of complaints arose about the GTO's styling, saying that it was too bland. This is ironic, since the original GTO looked just like a regular LeMans -it was a sleeper. GM tried to rectify this, by adding a more agressive fascia and hood scoops on later models, but the GTO never really took off.

inventory for inventory, i might provide it to a 2006 GTO over a 1998 Supra rapid, taking the main at present produced fashions of the two for the U. S. industry. A LS1 powered GTO might come a lot closer to the Supra in terms of overall performance. the two way, it is a motive force's race. The autos are truly frivolously matched. while it includes aftermarket, something is going. the two the Supra and GTO's LS2 are many times changed.

The GTO has 2 major faults.

1) looks too much like a chevy cavalier.
2) made by pontiac and is not deemed as reliable.

my brother in law has one - nice car, nice power - not many upgrades available

from 1964-72 John Deloreon was the designer of the GTO..and it was one of teh top muscle cars ever built...in 73 he had a falling out with the company and started to venture on his own, the 73 and 74 GTO..never really caught on and the GTO passed into the afterworld...they should of rehired John, to raise it from the grave

I bought the 2004 model, phantom black metallic exterior with a red leather interior. I love my car!!!!!!!! It has 350 horses, I can drive so fast. I would not give it up. I must agree that it cost a lot of money!

Because it costs too much for what you get, its not that attractive & it was overshadowed by the cuter, more affordable G6 which debuted at the same time (can you tell I have a G6?? LOL)
