Have liberals gone from being dissenting to traitorous?

The responses I got to my WMD post really made me sick. You guys sound like Saddam's defense team. More than half the country voted for Bush. DEAL WITH IT. Selling out your country won't make Kerry win.

I have to hear:
They're too old. NOT IF PROPERLY STORED.
They aren't enough. IT'S MORE THAN ZERO AND ENOUGH TO KILL YOU.

Every possible excuse is concocted and then they'll say Bush planted them. Sheesh.

Giving aid and comfort to the enemy? ever hear of it?

I've guarded mass graves in Iraq. The graves of Saddam's own people. Not just the Kurds died. Anyone who ran afoul of Saddam or his cronies was tortured and executed.

The man was a monster.

NIGHTSHADE- My job was infantry but when we found a mass grave, it had to be guarded until it was documented. Why? Because unpatriotic doubters like you would pretend they didn't exist unless we had proof.

WATCHER- Does your husband support Saddam? I strongly doubt he does.

Yep....Saddam was a monster that was put into power by the USA. And biological weapons do have a decay rate that will result in them becoming ineffective as WMD over time (and the WMD in question were given to Iraq by the USA back in the 70s with a handshake from Rumsfeld). Besides, the USA has the largest stores of biological weapons in the world and they keep warheads capable of delivering them; why is that?

Personally I say nuke Jerusalem so that there's nothing for Jews, Muslims, and Christians to fight over but the fact still remains the US invaded Iraq without just cause and are just as evil as those they claim to be after. It's just a simple fact. Don't be ashamed of it; embrace what you're good at.

As for the issue of who are the traitors, I'd say the Republicans who have marched soldiers to their deaths for oil and incited more hatred towards America have sold out the wholesome freedom that America is supposed to stand for more than the wishy-washy Democrats have. Greed destroys everything in the end.

To answer your question, both liberals and conservatives are committing treason against the US. The extremist on one side would turn America socialist and the other would turn America into a theocracy. Both are treasonous and domestic enemies of the United States. Conservatives aid the terrorist enemies when they shred our bill of rights with garbage like the Patriot Act, wiretapping and un-announced warrant-less searches.

Why should I care if Saddam exists? I live in America and we have our own problems to deal with. He was never a threat to us.
We are not the police of the world! That mentality is one of the many reason I didn't like Clinton either.

I...I don't know what to say. Someone ELSE is willing to know the truth. AND i believe in some aspects they have. By undercutting the Bush administration in everything try to do in Iraq and constantly calling for a troop withdrawal, it makes us look weak and divided. Thing is, liberals may be ignorant, but they're not all stupid. They know exactly what they're doing, and thats...unpatriotic to say the least. I don't want to start accusing them of treason, because that's a big deal. How can we expect to be a world power, when our country's denizens can't speak out against these arrogant, power hungry monsters?

They have been traitors since they started joyously counting troop deaths. They disgust me and I can not wait until their severely defeated in the 08 elections. They are a cancer that is killing us.

You know if they would have used 1/10 of the energy that they use to attack Bush on the Iraqi war effort - that country would most likely be stable & safe by now. But - no they just keep aiding the enemy with obstructionism and creating talking points for Al Qaida leaders.

See what your arguments start? My husband is coming back from Al Anbar in ten days for leave. We are both Democrats, and you could say we have liberal ideas on some things.
I want to know why you and others call us names, say we are a cancer?
He has done 2 tours already and isn't done yet. How dare you or anyone else brand us as traitorous. He has friends on both sides of the issues. Their are a lot of good people on both sides of the issues in uniform, and it makes me sick to read how some regard others with such stupid judgement.

This is great question! Liberals have become traitors for the reasons you've mentioned. They're trying to cause a mutiny, giving aid to our enemies (those who take Americans as prisoners and behead them - and have the stupidity to say that we're treating our prisoners badly!) c'mon liberals. You're creating a sense of hope for the insurgency, you're giving them power.
