Disco was an era that revolutionized technology in music. This was the time where synthisized sounds really took off. Because disco had such a versatile sound and plattform it also broke a lot of racial barriers and people could go out and groove to the sound of the same tune and have a good time together. Not to mention the spectacular use of laser lights and the disco ball, it was not only aurally pleasing but visually as well. If it were not for disco then, the the 80's music would have definately left use with a lot more questions as to why in the world di we go through that, and today we might not have such a profouind respect for club DJ's or hip hop music. Thanks for the time, now go and shake your groove thang!!!!

I think that people in the disco era were so much more laid back then the fast paced socialism we are dealing with in today's world. We as people now a days are so involved in the mumbo jumbo of the world and society to enjoy ourselves on the dance floor. There aren't many places besides home where we can just let loose like they did in the disco era. If you go to a club right now you will find guys trying to hook up with girls, and girls trying to impress the guys. In the Disco era we just danced!!!!

Well since I don't remember the disco era I can't give you a first hand opinion. I was born towards the end of it. But from what people say it was the drugs. I'm not kidding.

I never knew it was great. It always appalled us and gave us very limited places to go. Those who seemed to enjoy it are presently married with tons of children and don't count for anything. I was aamazed this question even existed. If anyone actually answers positively to this, they should have a brian scan
