Will he make us less predictable, pick the right people, better tactics and bring it home in 4 years (again)?

Does anyone know if he's actually any good? Give me a little rundown if you do, eh?

He should be. No matter how much I hate Middlesbrough they were a farely attacking team under Mcclarren. Hopefully we'll have more to cheer under him (unless we win the World cup, but I'm not holding my breath). I still think Scolari or Martin O'neill would be better. In the end, Boro may have got to the Uefa Cup Final but they finished 14th in the league.

The new England manager makes Mr.Burns from the Simpsons aka Sven Eriksson look like the best thing since sliced bread. I don't hold out any hope at all for the England team when he takes over.

I don't care where they come from as long as they can do the job and so far the choice of managers goes from bad to worse.

To be truthful I think we have taken a step backwards with the appointment of a weak manager. The FA now have a yes man that they can control and Mclaren is not man enough to step on the toes of his superiors.

Tactics wise as Svens number 2 they have not managed anything together spectacular thus far. It is Graham Taylor all over again minus the TURNIPS !!!

Sven certainly has is problems, but a lack of risk-taking in his decision making isn't one of them. Look at the Theo Wolcott pick. Pretty dern adventurous to pick some kid who doesn't play for his club team and who has zero international footie experience. I would have much rather seen a safe pick like Dafoe or Wright-Phillips.

Ulrika obviously thought Sven was. McLaren is from the same stable. Boring, boring, boring. Oh and did I mention boring?
