a man gets into an elevator on the 10th floor, gets out on the ground floor and goes to work.?

when he comes home, he gets off at the 7th floor and walks the rest of the way. Why?

He was on the 10th floor for whatever reason (to see a friend, to eat breakfast at the coffee shop up there, etc.) When its time to go to work, he gets into the elevator on the 10th floor, goes to the ground floor, and goes to work. When he comes home, he goes to the 7th floor and the reason he walks the rest of the way is because the elevator does not take him directly to his room. He has to walk down the hall.
