A good history will be taken, date of last menstrual period, history of STD's, and some other questions will need to be answered.

The rest of the exam will involve an exam manually (with the hands/fingers), a speculum exam to see the cervical opening (os), and some cultures will be taken.

Be sure to ask any questions you might have while you there. The results of the cultures will take a few days to get back.

A pap smear. I hate those. That's where they take this instrument and pry you open down there, and scrap for sample tissue so they can test it for STD's or any other conditions (like cervical cancer.)

They sometimes feel your breasts too for lumps.

They also ask about how sexually active you are and if you have any problems like cramps. It is a good time to ask about birth control pills if you need them.
