You don't have to but a lot of women do. I didn't think I was going to get any because when I was 7 months pregnant I didn't have any. By 9 months I had them around my navel. That stuff the sell doesn't work. Stretch marks are genetic. If your mother or even your aunts had them then there's a good chance you will too.

With my first, I put Palmer's cocoa butter on my belly before bed. It may be a coincidence, but I didn't get any stretch marks. I'm at 27 weeks with my second and haven't broken out the cocoa butter yet, but no stretch marks so far...

If you keep your weight again at 25-35 pounds, it should help you avoid (or lessen) the stretch marks.

Also, they are supposed to fade quite a bit after the baby is born, so don't worry too much if you do get them.

everyone's different...
Do you scar easily? Do you have really delicate skin? if so...you'll probably get stretch marks no matter what you do...

I hardly scar at all and I've been using cocoa butter from day one...and I haven't seen a mark yet and I'm huge!

It's different for everyone...some people look like they were sawed open with a dull butter knife (like my mom) and some people have it lucky and don't get any marks at all...it just depends on your skin and how big you get.

Good Luck

The answer is no. There are many women who will not have to bear stretch marks. But the rest of us do unfortunately.

No - but more than likely most do just because their skin is not elastic enough to take the growth. Go to the health food store and get some REAL vitamin E oil and rub on your belly every night and immediately after every shower or bath. This helps a lot.

No. Get lotions with cocoa and shea butter. They are supposed to be the best at preventing stretch marks.

Not everyone gets stretch marks, but there is no way you can choose whether or not you will get them

No, just be sure to check the area that states "no stretch marks."

It all depends on genetics and your skins elasticity.... I didn't and I got HUGE!! I did use Palmers Coco Butter (The thick kind that comes in a "tub" or jar) after getting out of the shower when my skin was still damp but mostly I thank my mom for good skin genes...
