This is Third Wave Emo and its more Pop Punk Hardcore then it is Emo anyway. Emo has been around sice 1984 but its come around again.
People have adopted it as the 'new trend' after Nu Metal became 'Uncool'.
Usually their people who have long fringes, dyed hair, tight trousers, stripy tops... You know the type. But then you get onto 'Emo Kids' and 'Scene Kids' (The elite of the elite) and it all gets complicated!

Elmo the Muppet was trying to be a gangsta rapper so he thought he would be cooler if he dropped the "L" from his name.
Now his stage name is Emo. Definitely more street cred.
You can't get much more gangsta than a puppet rapping!
