Why do people eat while driving? Why do people concentrate on changing the radio station while driving? Why do women put on makeup while driving? All of these are responsible for distracting drivers, too. People are just stupid I guess.

First, I don't understand what this has to do with Movies (the category you posted to), but maybe you shouldn't be paying attention to who's talking on cell phones while you're driving. Then it won't be so distracting.
Or did you perhaps mean to ask "Why do people driving use cell phones knowing it distracts your attention from driving?" If THAT's your question, it's because those doing it feel rules don't apply to them, or that they are indestructible.
Maybe a way to combat this is to have interference generated by the vehicle when in motion that would blanket the passenger compartment. Why would I just do the passenger compartment? So if someone is kidnapped and dumped in the trunk, they would be able to use their phone. Why just when the vehicle is in motion? So if you pull off the road and stop, you could use the phone.

People have always had a tendency for self-destructive behavior. They might feel cool, even though everyone on the face of the planet has a cell phone. Even with a hands-free set, driving isn't safe. I've always thought that if you need two hands to do it, shouldn't your brain be in on it too??

Good question. Because they care more about socializing than paying attention to the road.
ilmao, the other I saw a COP talking on the phone while driving >.< yeah that really enforcing the rules.

because people think that they can talk on their cell phones and drive at the same time but in the end don't do at all. It's just shows you how stupid and ignorant other people can be.

Because they like to feel important by completing two tasks at once. I swear, every time I see someone do something stupid while driving, they are on a freaking phone!!!! It's freaking stupid that people are just so "busy" that they can't think about their own safety or the safety of the people that have to be driving around them.

The majority of people out there are extremely selfish and think nothing bad could ever happen to them. They are smart asses who forget that other people exists on the streets, it is them, their car and the poor little lonely freeway. Not to mention they are too lazy to pull their asses over for 5 minutes. These are of course the same bums who have kids and instead of feeding them good nutritious meals leave them 10 bucks for a pizza 5 days of the week.

Hey! Watch it! I can talk on cell phone, eat fries, drink a can of beer, shift, smoke a cig, smoke a blunt, make out with my girlfriend, screw with the CD player, and throw eggs at passing cars all at the same time! Try that!

A lot of people seem to have their phones glued to their heads, so maybe they aren't even talking. They just look like they are.
