The world's eye is turned on Iraq and yet Africa is still being ignored. There have been genocides and atrocities over there for years and no one is helping. I would like your opinion as to why.

You know, people want to cry "we have no money" and "we can't possibly support them" but there is a way. It takes a conscious effort of the world's super powers to come together and try to make a difference there.

This just shows how sad it is that we all live on the same globe, yet try to live in our own seperate hemispheres. That even came up in Iraq...it doesn't have to be America's job to convert everyone to democracy. We just need to help people who are struggling...as we have more resources than anyone else.

I think that President Bush (and I'm not trying to bash, but this is the truth) knows that the War in Iraq is beginning to loose bearing (some would say that it lost it a while ago) and he's just ignoring the crisis in Africa. It's sad...but ultimately, the world leaders dictate what gets taken care of.

Black Africans have for a very long time been killing other black Africans. This is nothing new!

No matter how much money is spent in aid to Africa, the rich and the privileged there will always take the lion's share of it as they exploit their own poor and uneducated masses.

In the end, it will be up to Africans to resolve their own problems. Nobody can do it for them.

Using birth-control methods and not perpetually expecting financial aid from richer countries to help them out of their dilemmas would be steps in the right direction for Africans to take.

The concern is all about oil now. There's not a major concern about Africa now. There's a reason for the astrocities in Africa now: Genocide amongst the African people by their military gov'ts, and tribalism for power, money and glory. Theirs lots of gold and diamonds in africa and other nations operatives are secretly stealing it. Evil doers don't care about anyone, especially ,children. The war in Sierra Leonne is about diamonds big time. Also, genocide is welcomed before taking over, uprooting people to refugee statis, before so called order to take place. Strategy of NWO into a one world gov't.

Because countries get nothing out of helping in Africa. There's no oil or any other natural resources that are needed so that's why no major help goes there. So sad.
