This question ranks alongside 'was Lee Harvey Oswald the lone gunman?'.
There are some convincing alleged evidence that suggests it was. You can check out the websites and the conspiracy theorists but remember......big brother is watching you.

Firstly, no, not faked. The flag was on a spring, to keep it stretched out, the flag wasn't blowing, the spring was vibrating. Where the funk did the Saturn 5 rocket go for about three weeks? What about the countless thousands of amatuer radio entusiasts who aimed their equipment at the craft, ever adjusting as it reached the Moon, to listen to the transmissions between the craft and Mission Control, Houston? None of them has ever said anything was amiss! No blast crater on take-off? The take-off thrusters weren't very powerful really, they didn't have to be, to overcome the very weak gravity on the Moon's surface. They certainly threw some dust about though. What about Armstrong dropping the hammer and the eagle feather in the vacuum, and them falling at the same slow rate? As for travelling through the Allen belt, yes, they would have taken a lot of radiation. Do you think that was enough to stop them from wanting to go? Really?
What about the rocks and ore samples bought back, which geologists have never found on Earth?

I can't believe some people think it was faked!

Having been involved in photography and motion video production (but also being a conspiracy theorist), I concluded that at the time the moonshot happened it would have cost about the same amount to fake it.

There are definitely un-reconcilable elements of the shots such as lens engraved cross-guides somehow appearing to go behind objects and no dust on the landers feet.

We were in a space race with Russia at the time, so we had ample motivation to fake it, but if we did fake it, the evidence suggests that we must have gone back and really done it at a later date. We got those pictures of the far side of the moon somehow.

no.

the sheer number of people involved in just faking 1 moon landing would be impossible to keep covered (and if it were a fake you'd have to stop at 1) but to then repeat the fake with subsequent landings and even more people involved and for the russians to pull the same scam off...i don't think so!

I don't think it was My father worked at Cape Canaveral at the time. He worked on the Apollo 11 and watched the launch.

I know it's a weak argument, but it seems like it would have been an awful lot of expense and effort to go through to fake it. And weren't the Australian media following the progress of the mission at the same time?

SOme say so, based on facts like the flag is not fallen, although the is no wind at the moon and the landscape looks like a stage. But some UFO fans say it was real and the astronauts saw a flying saucer up there.

Why do you have any suspicions of the landing ? Scientists all over the world have been studying the moon landings for their own space programs.
The greatest brains in the world know what our space program has accomplished, all except you. You are something special, you carry all of your empty space in your head.

Yes, the worlds biggest budget film.

The Americans are rushing now to get there before the Chinese and Europeans so they can stage manage the previous landings, ie plant the flags, footprints, etc before they are found out!!

Some people believe that it was, but there's not real proof of this. The moon landing was real.

i dont think so.

Nasa definatley shot a big rocket up in the air that didnt come down again for ages.

also, there is a bit reflector on the moon that they put there. it is still there cos scientists bounce lasers off it!
