Your estimate should include:
1.Cost of materials for
a.Siding
b.Facia
c.Soffit
2.Labor
3.Removal of waist.
To estimate material required I first estimate the surface area you intend to cover. As a rough estimate I include windows and doors as long as they are too large like glassing on a porch or a garage door. It is straight forward just multiple perimeter times the height. Divide the area by 100 to get the results in so called SQUARES or hundreds of feet. The cost is on the average usually between $100-160 per square. The cost includes only alsso material needed to hang the vinyl siding.

Using the size of facia and soffit you can estimate their material costs. It would also depend on materials. You have a choice vinyl or aluminum.

Labor costs are tied to location and market.

I hope it was of value.

And interior square footage does not help much however if it is typical it has to be roughly 60'x24'. Ironicaly the surface area of your ranch is about 1400sf or 14 squares.
Materials siding, facia and sofit (no repair) $2100
Labour 1.5 men-week (60h) $2300 with a little optimism.

First find out how much siding you need, measure the length and width on both ends and sides, multiply by the hight - for Gable, width by the distance from regular wall hight up to peak, then divide by two. do for both ends. add 10% for waste, now that you know how much siding is needed get some Bids- Find someone out on the Job sites and ask him to come bid your job, while there look over his workmanship. You might get lucky and get a near Sub Contractor bid,

I would say, depending on the difficulty, I would price it between $4000.00 and $5500.00. I run my own home improvement business in Ohio, and believe my prices to be at or below fair market value. Hope this helps.

It depends on the location, size, number of bedrooms, etc.. naturally prices vary from state to state. From your question it appears you own it so I'm not sure if you're inquiring about mortgage or rent.

Got any more info?
