I started with J&J and then switched to Aveeno. Now I use both. Is it ok to use both or stick to just one? If just one, which one is best?

Between the 2 I would choose aveeno. Use cleanser that is pH balanced. Make sure the lotion doesn't have mineral oil. Something with Vitamin A (retinyl palmitate or retinyl acetate) will be very good for long term skin health.
Don't forget the sunscreen.

My son is 9 months old. We use Johnson's all in one baby wash.Recently we started using Johnson's baby shampoo instead of the wash on his hair since it seemed a little dry. This helped. Johnson's is actually the only brand we have ever used. We are finally nearing the end of our first bottle of baby wash (the stuff lasts forever!), so we have not had the opportunity to try anything else.

I have always used Baby Magic. But now they changed it so I am wondering that myself. I dont like J & J very much. Hows the Aveeno?

Don't use baby products. Wash your baby with Unscented Dove soap (be careful of the eyes) and, if necessary, use Lubriderm Seriously Sensitive lotion. People have a tendency to goop their babies up with all kinds of unnecessary products. Most babies don't need lotion...parents put it on them to make them smell "good". Personally, I love the smell of a clean baby...NOT a baby that smells like baby powder.

Either is fine as long as the baby doesn't break out in a rash. Aveeno is hypo allergenic so it is safer for the baby. They shouldn't break out with their products.

Just try to find body washes or body lotions that do not contain parabens (methylparaben, propylparaben, etc.). Many alternative health practioners think it causes many health problems in women and their hormones. I would buy my products at the health food or vitamin store, where most of the products do not contain parabens.

I will never use Aveeno on my child ever again. Johnson & Johnson will always be the first choice for me.

please research what you apply to your own skin, as well as sensitive baby's skin. if you go to www.ewg.org and go to the index and click on 'body burden' you will learn more than you could imagine. things we take for granted each day as safe have a cumulative effect on us. please research the issue for both your safety and that of your baby! environmental working group (ewg) is NOT a conspiracy group or purveyor of myths....they are highly respected researchers and the average person may never have information about that organization. i triple think my need for what i apply to my body and i adore perfumes and scented lotions...but my eyes were 'rudely, but wisely' opened. (this is NOT going to be a popular answer to your question, unfortunately!!)

as long as your baby doesnt have any skin problems, like eczema it is fine to use either one or switch back and forth. i personally like aveeno better because it didnt bother my babies skin as much as J&J, she has eczema so i have to be really careful what i use.

If your baby doesn't have an allergic reaction or skin irritation to either one then there's nothing to worry about. My son has eczema so I can't use either one of those products. I have to use Cetaphil.
