Cedar Point in Ohio is fun but very pricey. Also Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan can be great in the summer for all ages. Silver Lake is fun too, sand dunes and swimming. Traverse City is a great tourist town as well.

How close to Michigan are you talking? Wisconsin Dells is an awesome hot spot for the whole family and it works well with many different types of budgets.....check into it.
