It can happen. Everyone is different, some have different symptoms then others. For you, it could be headaches. If you are within a few days of starting your period, you can take a pregnancy test. By now, the hormone levels should be high enough to show up. If you are really concerned, get a blood test. It will show sooner then a home test will. If you have other questions, call your doctor. Don't worry, we hear things like this all the time, so you aren't weird, or stupid for not knowing. Your doctor won't get mad at you for calling with a question like this.
If you are pregnant, call your doctor to set up your prenatal appointments and start taking prenatal vitamins. You can even start taking them now even if you aren't pregnant. Over the counter ones are fine, it doesn't have to be a prescription.
If you suspect that you are pregnant, don't take any pain reliever except tylenol. That is fine to take, as long as you follow the recommended dosage.
Also you could try resting in a dark quiet room putting a damp rag over your forhead.
I hope some of this helps!!!
