Racism is motivated more from fear than hate. Fear that "they" will take something from me or that they are better than me. Fear that "they" are laughing at me or jealous that people think they are cooler than me. Or just fear of the unknown. "Their different from me so I don't know if I like them or not." So because of that I believe we can establish "racial" world peace If people are willing to "deal" with old issues. You can't just say there will always be racism or else you give people an excuse to continue to practice ignorance. But world peace as a whole cannot be obtained because over here while we argue over discrimination, in the Middle East they believe their doing the will of their God. There is no reasoning with that.

You're right. There will always be hate and evil in the world because without it, how will we know what is truly good and pure? World peace is a nice thought, but I don't believe that it will ever happen. It just doesn't take basic human nature into account. There's always going to be people who despise other people's religion, ethnicity, wealth, power, morality, etc., and you have to realize that as being inside each and every person.

Not everything has an opposite. Mousquitos, for example. I don't see any little winged bastards coming around, putting blood back into me. All they do is take. There is no opposite. Love can exist without hate, as by its very definition it is mutually exclusive. The problem is that not everyone in the world wants or is capable of love. As humans, we are inherently flawed, and will hate no matter the circumstance.

Everything in moderation. Yin and Yang. Light and dark. Good and evil. Man and Woman. Ideally there would be a universal balance.... But essentially I agree with your statement. How can you truly experience any feeling or emotion without a basis for comparison? So a question back to you.... Do you think people love more deeply if they have been hurt before?

Everything contains its own opposite, everything and everyone. so that being true no, there will never be world peace,i am sorry to say, but things like racism, hating someone for any reason, whether it be color, religion, where they came from, etc. is just wrong .but all a person can do to combat it is start with themselves, and don't judge others, for any reason, and if everyone does that soon maybe, there will be only love and acceptance in this world, our mother earth.

Love and hate are the same thing, but from different prespective.. I have come to love many people but I hope i never come to hate anybody.. Hate is a very strong word, but you can hate someone or something. you can hate the taste of brocolli and love the taste of pizza.. sometimes is just best to love somebody and never hate anybody.

who told you there can be no love without hate. that is a ridiculous theory. the truth is there is only love and only love is real. racism and other expressions of hate are an ego based illusion that can only be created when an individual thinks they are different from other people. you are not different or seperate or more special than other people. you are just like them, in fact you are one with them.

I think you are right. Otherwise how will we know when things are good if there was nothing to compare it to?We are a society that always has to have some good/evil to live.
But on the same note there is always good in the bad and always some evil in the good. Nobody can be perfect, and no one is hopeless they just make the wrong decisions.
