Your probation officer will give you a list to chose from or he may just tell you where you will perform your community service.
The police can not tell you anything about community service, it is court decided.

If you are seeking a place to preform your service....I am sure the DAV and any number of other places could use your help. If you need to report your service I suggest you contact the judge that sentenced you.

The Humane Society is a great place to try.....you can also ask if there is a homeless shelter near......or maybe a boy/girls club.....good luck
