If God sends you to hell for your sins and the devil punishes you for your sins. How can these How can god and the devil be in an epic battle for souls if they are technically on the same side?

I think they are on the same side. God gives us rules and if we disobey them we get sent to hell, where Satan punishes us until we are worthy of heaven. I think the epic battle is Satan doing his job by testing us, trying to tempt us away from good, to see if we stay to true to God's rules. Satan is only doing what God wants him to do. The battle is us against Satan.
Because how can he have created everything and be omnipotent but not be able to control the Devil, a former Angel. If Satan truly opposed him couldn't God easily do away with him?

there not on the same side.. God will send you to hell if you dont repent of your sins and ask him to be your lord and savior.. But that is not what he wants to do he wants as many people that can to make heaven there home thats why we tell people about God.. Satan wants you to sin so God doesn't get your soul and so you suffer in hell forever.. See the difference

Stop trying to out smart yourself. God gives you a reprieve from your sins because Jesus died for them. In other words God does not "send you to Hell for your sins..." nobody's sins keep them from Heaven, only the choice not to believe in Christ and not to acknowledge God. God doesn't send you there, you go where you choose.

They are not on the same side. God stands for goodness, love, faith, hope...He is all powerful and cares about all people, enough that He died for our sins on the cross. He forgives, restores lives...
Satan stands for evil, terror, darkness, hate, murder... He also is powerful but cares for no one except himself. He would never die to save anyone. He is here only to destroy and devour and keep anybody from believing in God's free grace of salvation.

Because god wants you to be good to avoid any unpleasantness where as the devil wants you to misbehave and be a part of his world he doesnt care about your misery, God does.
