She is so abundantly talented, but I preferred her when she was more modest, humble, and had just become known--like with her first album. God blessed her with both talent and beauty.
She has taken those gifts for granted. Now, she lacks any substance whatsoever. During and since her marriage to Tommy Mottola, and attaining her "superstar" status, she has become one "ditsy broad," who places too much emphasis on superficiality and her own hypersexuality.
Also unappealing is the way she dragged her feet about acknowledging her biracial heritage. This didn't happen for many years, until her career was already long established, and it seemed reluctant, at that.
Mariah Carey, then? Kudos, and many superlatives.
Mariah Carey, now? Vehement "thumbs down!"
(Fortunately, she still has her musical chops, praise the Lord.)

i think that mariah carey is a very great singer she knows how to sing is all that i can say but i also think that when she dies she will never be 4 gotten i have a question 4 you WHY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW ?????????

mariah's pretty but it like shes using her body to make her famous than her voice... everytime you see her she's either half naked or wearing something see through but thats my girl and she can sing and dress whatever the hell she wants plus she mix with that black so she can't help but show a little somethin somethin

I like her alot when she first came out she was really good had a awesome voice.. Then after her second come back she was ok, but I dont think she sings as good as she use to.

I liked her when she first came out her first CD was really good
but she has changed so much too HO looking she needs to dress more not less especially since she is not getting younger..but she still has the cords.....

I think she's a great performer and has had longevity because she relates to lots of people being that she is mixed with black white and hispanic.

i like mariah. i think she's one of the best if not the best singer out there. and tiom is off the hook.

I used to just love her, and her music. But now, she's just so fake. Her music is still o.k. but she has changed her appearance so much its just painful to look at.

i think she's a real show off and she just wants attention because she hasn't sang in a while.
