You may want to check out Amtrak. They sometimes offer some fall foliage rides to Maine.
Call some local bus companies/tour companies in the New England area to have them mail you information (Liberty Travel)

You should call them and see what trips are available. I would also
call the various tourism bureaus in these states. They have alot
of information that is very helpful. Also the internet I would think
would have alot of info. I see in the newpapers trips listed all the
time.
