Why did Michael Jackson go downhill?

He become too famous and too successful for the world not to notice, putting himself at the mercy of people's greed!

Michael Jackson has always been insecure, even as a young child, thanks largely to his evil father, and when he became a superstar the people around him, even his own friends and family, took advantage of his generosity and his talents. The guy was betrayed too many times - his own sister, LaToya use to release statements claiming that he was abused as a child by his parents and other weird facts about him and the Jackson family which simply weren't true! He was always very protective of LaToya Jackson and did nothing to deserve that! Martin Bashier betrayed him; Gavin, the boy whose life he saved, also betrayed him, the list goes on! These events which were very painful took its toll on Michael who is naturally sensitive and now he just wants to shut himself from the world and live in peace with his children.

Michael Jacksons history reads like a greek tradgey, another prodegy laid to the wasteland but we mustn't forget that in spite of the troubles he has faced over the years, he will still be remembered for being the best! You cannot argue with the facts, nobody could draw a crowd like Michael Jackson and even a poor selling album of his still went double platinum and was the envy of many first class artists.

I hope he tours one more time - whatever the price of the ticket it will be worth paying.

I don't think he ever went downhill. I think people took him downhill and whatever happened in his life is his life and not anyone elses. He knows he can still sing great, so he isn't a waste of talent because his talent is still there and noone can ever say anything about that. They may talk about everything else but his music. Seeing that he rarely comes out or does anything is because he's always criticized for everything that he does. I look past all the allegations and whatnot and think he is one of the greatest singers that has ever lived. Thats what the country & freedom of speech does to you though, you do one thing wrong, they spit you out and walk all over you just make their lives feel better and accomplished. He may or may not have done bad things but he's still a great singer and simply does not feel the need to come out and tell anyone anything because they've done nothing but pick on him. It is a sad story how people can treat another person.

I don't know. But sometimes people get stuck in a self-serving attitude - it might not be apparent to them - but it is to others. It's a common story among entertainers - but you have to decide to help people on a regular basis to combat it. I almost wonder if he has been plagued by some evil spirits who have hounded him into making some of the decisions he has made over the years. That is not an excuse for his behavior - but it might help explain it. However, I do admire his talent and hope that he will work on whatever needs to be fixed (not by any plastic surgery) or re-direct his energy in a more productive way. I don't think his career is entirely over, and he might find a useful side-career as a vocal or choreography coach. In fact, last I heard, he had opened some music institutes in the Middle East somewhere, which might prove to be highly regarded by a different segment of the world's future musicians.

I don't know if that case had much credibility. Though MJ didn't look too good from it. It became obvious from forensics that he wasn't the squeaky clean 'Pied Piper' he'd presented himself as to the media, but rather a disturbed person with deep issues, who was using kids in a rather self-indulgent way. He was abusing drugs and alcohol. He had kids sleeping in the same room where he had porn that was accessible to them, the kids were getting to the booze, it hardly seems an ideal, orderly or appropriate environment for children. They used this case to try and get him on other charges which he'd bought his way out of at the time. And these charges probably had more substance than the 2005 case. But he was being tried for the 2005 accusations and the jury had to make a decision upon that.

You cannot know how it feels to have your childhood stolen from you! Now that he is on his own and his father can't tell him what to do and what not to do he is living his lost childhood! Having the amusement park and lots of friends are exactly what kids fantasize about! He hangs around with kids cause in his mind he is a kid himself and that's what kids do! He did not "bleach" his skin he has a genetic disease called Vitiligo that causes his skin to lose pigment....read up on it (for those of you who can read)! Because of the media and the stupid people who are so gullible that they believe everything they hear he had the leave the friggin country! I hope all you losers are happy to have driven him away! His talent is not wasted, he can still sing and dance better than anyone on this earth!!

MJ wnet downhill because he was deprived of his childhood when he was young. His childhood was filled with many things that adults ahve to deal with, not simple childish things. What I think is that when he got older he tried to over componsate for what he had lost as a child (ex- the monkey,the carnival in his back yard. Basilcy beacause he was robbed ( if you will) of his childhood he has now become and almost Peter Pan like Person, a 7 year old boys mind stuck in 40-something man. In my opion i think his chidern "friends" are just him trying to gain somthing that he lost as a child. Eitehr that or hes just one sick puppy...........

He DID NOT turn himself friggin white!! He had a skin disease called vitiligo that turns your skin albino (you can even look it up). It started in his hand (hence the glove) and started to spread. He bleached the rest of his skin so he wouldn't be all polka-dotty. I would know, my dad had the same thing. If MJ had had a choice, he would probably still be black.

not having a childhood and being thrown into overwelming wealth are for sure the two main attributes to his downfall. I think all the money and the isolation of being a superstar drove him a form of crazy that the average person dosent understand!

alot of reasons, but mostly because of him being accused of child molesting and him turning himself white, and his addiction to plastic surgery. he turned him self white because he had a disease which was the loss of pigment on his skin. so he just decided to become white. he got plastic surgery because of an accident on a pepsi commercial which messed up his nose....he just became addicted to it. and personally i believe hes innoncent from the child molesting. because he has children and he raised so much money for child orphanages. if he was a child molester, y the **** would he do those things? everyone thinks hes a child molester because he has been accused so many times and made fun of many times. but he has always been aquitted.
