I wish they would. I'm a Yankee's fan, I HATE the sox.

The Yankees may be close to Boston right now, but the Yanks will lose the AL East race by 9 or 10 games. Randy Johnson is unreliable, Wang is either good or bad, the same goes for Wright. Mussina is pitching great and Chacon is a washup. Neither Sheffield or Matsui will be back until late August or early September. Also, A-Rod continues to choke in big spots. Boston wins the division easy, Yankees may even finish in 3rd behind Toronto now that they're getting Burnett back.

the Yankees will win as usual. maybe not by 10 games but the red sox have to come in second, its almost an unwritten rule in baseball. the person above me is wrong because ted Williams is cryogenicaly frozen in some laboratory, not heaven

The days of Boston choking are behind them, the evil Yankees empire is in ruins and Ted Williams is in Heaven knocking curses back into Hell and Yankee Stadium where they belong.

I don't know how the Yanks have stayed so close, but they always find a way. Red Sox will win the division though. Go Mets!

Absolutely not. (and "no" to the 2nd question too)

The Yankees should be the ones who are concerned. That team isn't looking all too unbeatable. With Matsui & Sheffield going down, that offense is just as questionable as the pitching staff (save Mussina).
