Glad you mentioned you are in GA. Some states have special mileage provisions. GA does reimburse for mileage, and the workers comp carrier must pay you within 30 days. Please keep copies of all your requests - this is because if they fail to pay you within the 30 days, they will be assessed a penalty & you will get that extra money. Bear in mind that the mileage is paid so you can receive proper medical care - this ALSO includes P.T. Normally mileage is paid only if you had visited an authorized medical provider in some states. Mileage is paid for travel TO & FROM your WC medical appointments. In addition to mileage, IF you must travel a long distance or, if you are required to stay overnight, you may also be entitled to lodging & meals. (Cost of meals may not exceed $30 per day. :)

The current mileage reimbursement rate (effective 12/01/2005) is 40 cents per mile.

I noted you appear to be working Temporary Partial - you may ALSO be entitled to TPD (Temporary Partial Disability) wage benefits.
If you have questions about TPD, please post a question & I would be happy to help.

I think that GettingWorkersComp.com may also be able to send you a pre-formatted mileage reimbursement form. (not sure)
Good luck.
