This reminds me of when I was in high school. Okay, listen to this. This is a conversation between a very opinionated woman and a very popular man. It's a true conversation, yet some of the exact words may be different. This would be the exact thoughts of a woman you might speak with (if you decide to get up the courage to go over to them). Women are funny. We categorize men based on their social standards. So, these are the thoughts of a young woman who said the thoughts that other girls in her grade would never dare say to this man.
~~~
Him: Hi.
Her: What do YOU want?
Him: Okay, what the hell is your problem? Why can't I just talk to you?
Her: Hmmm...let me think...you're popular...that's why!
Him: What in the world does that have to do with talking?!
Her: All my life I have avoided people like you. You're rude, uncaring, and full of yourselves! You can't even hold a relationship if it doesn't have sex! You think all women will bow down to you, but you're wrong! You're always in style, your hair has to be just perfect, and you won't do anything that doesn't make you look good!
Him: That's not true!
Her: Oh really? Tell me, how much money did your friends offer to pay you to come over here and try to talk to me? I know that's another thing you immature pricks love to do.
Him: None! I came over here on my own!
Her: Ha! You know, that's really funny. Yet somehow I really just don't believe you. Not someone like you. Now, there's tons of popular girls over there. Go over and show your skills to them.
Him: Go out with me on Friday. What's your number?
Her: Were you just listening to a word I said?!
Him: Yes, that's why I want your number.
Her: You arrogant prick.
~~~~~~
These are the words any women in high school would love to say to a preppy and popular guy. Your job? Teach them that they're wrong. That's what this man did. He ended up in a relationship that he was very happy in, yet all he did was MAKE THE FIRST MOVE. How do I know this?
That is the conversation and I my fiancé and I had eight years ago.
So, why in the world do you stand around waiting for women to go to you? Why don't you step forward and let them know you're interested? Try it sometime. You may be surprised how quickly a woman can warm up to you once she realizes you aren't rude or full of yourself.
And who knows? Maybe there will be a girl who decides to come up to you and flirt. But your friends probably make that very intimidating, so it's highly unlikely that a girl would do that.
Also, is there any girl in class you make fun of or tease? If so, that could be a signal to other girls that they should avoid you. Women stick together, so when they see one of their own being picked on, they know (as a group) not to go over to the place of abuse.
What about your body language? Are you laid back, relaxed? Do you just let things flow? Or are you uptight? Girls want to hang out with a guy who's fun and outgoing. They'll be scared away if you're too serious.
Try making the first move, and keep in mind that many people stereotype others. Just get through that and you'll be able to talk freely to girls (and maybe some other guys you'd like to be friends with). You never know.

More than likely girls are not going to ask you out, because they are waiting for guys to ask them out. If you like a girl, and you know that she likes you, why not ask her out? Girls talk to guys on a friendship basis usually. Younger girls in high school usually have crushes and just are too shy or afraid to ask guys out.

Wow...I can definitely see why they're not lining up. seem kinda full of yourself, if I may be so honest to say so. My question to you is, why can't you step up to them in a friendly way? I mean, that's what men do. In my experienc girls tendo to wait for guys to show some sign of interest and then we can take over from there.

Well if u like one of the girls you can walk up
to them and ask them out, if you don't, try to get to know them at least. Some girls (like me) get scared around guys i would try to flirt or be loud so you'd notice me or laugh alot if you catch
girls doing that take a chance! they r probably scared because it's possibly there deepest darkest secret.

Maybe you need to do the stepping. If a girl likes you, she will find a way to let you know.

They think that you're mean because you're popular.Preppy girls don't have problems with that but others do...........I'm popular and many girls never talk to my prep guy friends because they think that they are mean.

You have to step to them, most females do not approach men, it makes them seem desperate!
