2nd. Experience. No substitute...
3rd. Certification. Those tests are damn hard. Someone who's made the effort to get an MCSE did it for a reason... those who didn't.. didn't for a reason.
4th. Calm in a crisis.

Patience and lots of it when dealing with systems and people. Especially people!!! :) Oh, and nothing beats experience.
