THE BOOK IS BETTER

I did not like the Da Vinci Code-- I didn't watch it-- but, I'm a Christian, and everything that happened in the movie was fake and un-biblical. There is nothing in The Da Vinci Code that holds true to God's Word, the Holy Bible. We know that all in the Holy Bible is the truth because the Lord says in 2 Timothy 3:16, "All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness."

The DaVinci Code movie was a lot different than the book. However the essential is all there. Ron Howard will rarely screw up a movie when he is at the helm. The casting was very appropriate I thought and the actors did very well for their parts. Hanks in a mullet may seem funny however this was a largely misunderstood movie and you must understand that it is fiction just like Left Behind.

I think for those who read the book the movie was a little... how to say... too close to the book. there was no new twists or any surprises - they did everything exactly like in the book! I mean no movie followed the book that close!!! It's not a bad thing sometimes and I guess that's why it wasn't a bad movie, but somehow a little dissapointing for those who read the book first, cuz it was definitely much less exciting and mysterious! For the people who didn't read the book think it could've been confusing a little as they didn't explain everything as deep as in the book or run through some facts too fast. But in general it wasn't bad, but the book is definitely one of the kind!

The book, as is usually the case, is MUCH better. They tried to pull it off, but you don't learn enough about the characters and you don't receive the sense of enlightenment as the characters learn new information, while watching the movie. You will receive much more enjoyment reading the book.

I read the book and before I saw the movie, I didn't think it would be any good, but I was suprised. It was acually interesting and I liked it.

I thought it was good:)

The movies softened the more controversial parts of the book, but overall it was a good way to kill a couple of hours.

No, but I read the book, as well as Angels and Demons, and I liked both. Tom Hanks is cool, and so is Robert Langdon, so... coolness.
