isnt that just a little cruel. cut there heads off and let them run around the yarn for a while. isnt there a different way of doing so

Most people don't like to have their dinner looking at them, ergo....
Besides what do you suggest? Holding their little bodies down until they stop squirming?

They're chickens. Who cares?
You're not eating the head anyways. I mean, what do you want to do? Throw a brick at it? Shoot it? Stab it with a pocket knife through the heart? Poison it? Suffocate it? Stomp on it? Throw it out the side of a car? Drown it?
Cutting the head off is the most reasonable and efficient.

It's the quickest and least painful way to kill the chicken for food. They feel it for a mere instant and then voila- your dinner :) Plus most of them don't run around without a head because they die instantly- for the others however- sheer pain sorry to say

it bleeds them out before you clean them. You can hang them by their feet and do the same. Because the nerves keep the heart pumping for a while it gets all the excess blood out of the animal. Same thing for when the shoot hogs and cows with a small caliber pistol or rifle it just knocks them out then you hang them real fast and cut their throat. Bleeds them out well.

HAHAHA Excellent question! Actually, probably because no one wants to be looking at a chickens eyeballs, when their cooking fried chicken.... plus with fried chicken, you'd have to peel away the breading to make sure you wasn't eating chicken eyeballs......
