Probably it's because babies don't HAVE to model pampers...its the decision of the company paying for the advertisement (commercial) to decide how they want to sell their product.Also it seems like you are talking about two different companies Pampers and Depends.

Personally, I can do without models for the Depends. The whole idea is to claim that no one will know you are wearing them. So the commercials should show elderly people in nice restaurants and good clothes, because they want to go out and have fun just like people who don't have bladder control problems.
I don't have a TV, and have not seen what they really do for the commercials. Have I guessed right?
