Ferry service between the Greek Isles can be as short as 2 hours to almost 7 hours. Don't know the size of the ferries and afraid will get sea sick.

I agree that greek ferries are very confortable and safe and probably you will not need the dramamine!
Anyway, if you are very sensitive take them with you.

As a pharmacist, I give consultation at this subject quite frequently every summer, so allow me to be a little longer than the others.
In Greece, it is available in the pharmacies in 2 forms: pills (it is called Drimen)and chewing gums (under the name Travel gum).
If you decide to take the pill, take it about 1 hour before your trip. Besides, you will chew the chewing gum when you will start feeling bad.Take care not to drink any orange juice or acid things, or coffee that would upset your stomach. Don't eat any potatoe chips or bicuits during the trip because they will increase the acidity in your stomach. It is preferable to take with you a sandwich with cheese, without ham, to eat.

It depends on the person, how sensitive he or she was.

In general cruising in the Aegean and the Ionian sea is a real pleasure. The ferries are big enough and the sea, at least during the summer, is very good almost no waves at all. Only in August there is small period of 10 days that air picks up but nothing alarming. Also the longer the trip the bigger the boat so you have many things to do on board and keep your mind occupied. Thousands of people travel in the Greek sea and they do not have a problem. If getting sea sick troubles you that much you can take a Dramamine, just in case, or take an airplane. You can also go by hydrofoils (they sail above the waves) but they are too noisy and I find them unpleasant.

No!!!! The ships are large, stable and safe. The climate is perfect for sailing around, this time, so just enjoy, have some food (necessary when traveling by boat), some wine or ouzo, important to assist you get "loose" and be friendly! With these, who would think or need of the Dramamimes or whatever medicine?
