You should rip the DVD first. That's right, tear it in half, this way it will burn more evenly. Beware though, today's DVD's are made from some outlandish materials and I can only guess that some of them are toxic when burned. It's also a good idea to wear safety goggles whenever dealing with fire.
Sorry, that answer was meant to be a joke.
The correct answer was given by one of the other posts. Try using DVDShrink. It rips and burns. It's a little difficult to figure out at first if you aren't experienced with DVD terminology, but basically, you can choose all the defaults and it will probably do exactly what you are looking for. It is great for taking a full length movie and fitting it on a blank DVD by removing all of the extra stuff you probably don't want anyway (spanish soundtrack, extra features, etc.)
Good Luck

Is it the free Nero version? Free Nero version will not copy copyrighted DVDs.
I would use the http://www.dvd-cloner.com instead. They have a CSS decrypter which will let you rip copy-protected DVDS.
They will first save the entire movie temporarily on your hard drive, then on the SAME DVD burner, they will ask you to take out the original DVD and put in an empty DVD. You just put it in and then it will copy it from your hard drive to your DVD.

You r tryin to burn avi documents in a DVD and tryin to play in a DVD participant. some DVD gamers do no longer help avi format documents to play. So first you're able to desire to recode avi format documents to .vob extension so as which you would be able to play those vob documents in a DVD participant. The extension utilized by utilising the DVD participant to play the DVD documents is ".vob". So acquire X video converter from the internet or the different video converters which incorporate the power to alter the format from avi to vob, convert those avi documents to vob format which you're tryin to play and then burn those converted documents on a DVD. After downloading and setting up X video converter, please seek for the serial key to sign up it and then attempt recoding it to required formats...
