I think you have all the bases covered with the answers here.woman go after other woman's husbans for a variety of reasons. i think the number one reason is that thewoman who becomes the mistress has been **** on so many times, dumped, and hurt by many different men that outwardly she takes on this whole new lifestyle, but it all show "i don't care about men any more than they care about women. Men heve been using us and having casual sex with no strings attached for ages and now I am a liberated powerful woman and I am goinf to join the men and live and fornicate just like a man. I will have sexual relations when I want with whom i want , on my terms, i will be the one who decides if and when the man or i sleep over, i'm calling the shots now" the problem is she doesn't realy feel this way, it is all an act. woman and men ; we are different creatures. Men can have sex without any emotional ties, but normaly women need to feel an emotional attachment to the man. So these women have such so self esteem and they are tored of being rejected and hurt, so by playng it this way, they are playing it safe b/c they are not ever in jeopordy of getting hurt. They knw going in that this is jsut as fling, they are the other woman, this man has a wife and a familly that he goes home to and snuggles with and wakes up with on holidays etc. Not all affairs are this way, and woman should not alwayd be the only one or even the one one at all to receive the blame. For some archaic reason in in our society, take for examplt two married couples ;both with school aged children. If the married wife has an affiar with a married man, then she is the talk of the town and pretty much ostriciszed, especially in upper class socio economic families. She is the one qwho is labeled the adulter, the one who destroed two families, she loses all the freinds, the contry club memebrship, an quite often ends up losing both men and spends the next ten years paying a high price therapist. Oh I dare not forget and then she is most defiantely A horrible mother, this angers me the most, b/c I have known somw woman who had affairs, some discree, others not(they wanted out of their marriage) they never broguht their child anywhere near another man (unless they ended up marrying him, and they were aalways there to care fo the children. Take the sam eexample, if ne of the husbands has an affiar, well he is jsut a good ole boy, his freinds don't desert him, they still pay golf on the weekends, in fact more often than not he and the the new g/f will soon be ocupyong wifes diner seat at the couples favorite places to double date, the double standard is still too prevalant..
I have asked some of my friends who are either married or are separated and going through the divorce form hell why the see or date married woman and what they tel me is that they actuall "Prefer" married women, (these men are not looking for a relationship or anything serious) so to them a married woman has just as much to lose so she is a safer choice. I don't have any female friends who are having affiars so I cna't sopeak for the females, but male friends tell me that they don't really think about the other men involved b/c they don't know them, so the can't connect a face to the name. They have all said theywould not have an affair with a good friend's wife,b tu when pushed really hard and I asked what if she removed all her clothing and began rubbing her breast on you or began massaging your---- under the dinner table etc, their stnadard answer , "uh well you just don't ever let yourself get into a situation where anything like that could ever happen.
Lack of respect for themselves
The attention they get, b/c it is short lived so it is intense
The secrecy of an affair brings excitement

Oh man, is all I can say. I know where you are comin from. If you can, read my posting. We have a psycho woman on our hands. More has happened since the posting. I think she was jealous. I agree with one of your answers that talked about women wanting a nurturing guy. Well, that is my husband. He is a good husband, father, and friend. He is nice and good hearted to EVERYONE. He likes to joke and cut up and will do anything for anyone. Well some of that has changed. We helped this woman a lot and I think when she discovered she couldn't have him, she thought she could break us up. It didn't work. Girlfriend, stand your ground!! I started noticing the way she was acting towards my husband (friendly) and me (rude) and I didn't say anything right off the bat. I should have!! I will NEVER make that mistake again. Stand by and protect your relationship.
If you can't click on the link below, paste this into the search and it will bring it up. Single woman after married man

Some women try to chase after a man who is already taken because they want to see if he will go for her and leave the woman he is with right now. It's all games in the head that they like to play, and some women just love drama cause that's the only way they can survive. AKA they got nother else better to do.

Your right it is low, probably as low as you can get but there is a power if she is successful. Her self esteem gets a shot kinda like steroids and she only wants him to get him away from you. When she is done taking him, he is dumped and she looks for the next victim. Knowing that you will blame him and all men as cheaters she is in the free. Women have perpuated this kind of behavior for the individual good and gave the label to the other gender to deal with. Women do the same things to women that they do to men. They basically have no individuality, personal beliefs ( go with the popular advise), no morality, committment or conscience about the things they do.

I don't understand it. Some women are real bitches. To be in a relationship doesn't mean that you own someone. But this doesn't give you the right to break it up. If the man, however, goes for it and leaves you, he is definitly not worth it. I guess these sort of relationships are not based on love but affection and sex. I agree with you, that taking someone elses man is low. It has no place in my life.

DATING: If I meet a man and he's dating someone, and I know he's in a relationship, I'd respect that and back off. If HE chooses to leave that relationship, that HIS choice, not mine. A person is not obligated to stay in any relationship other than marriage, which they voluntarily entered into. I would guess the woman is not what he'd been waiting for. Sometimes people kill time with the one they're with until that right one comes along.
MARRIAGE: I wouldn't even chance it for a split second. HANDS OFF!!

Here's my theories:
1. Woman sees man who has been successful, has fathered and raised children. Biologically, this may be a trigger that may make her seek a married or partnered man - she wants a man who can father and nurture kids.(Nature I guess) I'm told some women find this kind of man irresistible.
2. Some women are bitches - Taking what they want, using it and discarding after or, hanging on for financial reasons.

Its a very unscrupulous world with some very unscrupulous people. Some people have no morals when it comes to doing stuff like that. It gives a lot of women a bad name. As for why they do it, who knows, maybe because of the challenge, maybe because they plain and simple want a man, maybe they need to do it in order to feel like a woman. There can be so many reasons. Personally why worry, ditch him, he and her both deserve each other if its done to any of you.

females who do this is because they dont have the morals and
mostly the thrill and think they can and better than others, they thrive on the point to upset the woman and mostly get the man and dump them and start all over again, they think they are all that and the bag, but in reality they usually arent very good at anything esp. looks, its a sad point to see them lower themselves like that and the men just aint thinkin with heart or brain somethin else.

She knew that we were together and I was already havign problems with my pregnancy and didn;t need anymore stress... yes HE KNEW TOO. I hate him more. some girsl that do this like the thought that they think they won this guy. If she can take him from a long term relatioonshiop then it is like she is special or something.... girls like this is why the divorce rate is so high. But then agian we can than these hoes for showing us that our men are asses...
