I have 3. Now I get clots once in a while (sorry I know it's gross). I get breast tenderness a wk before hand. Is it normal for your cycles to change like that? Could I be starting menopause at 33? My mom was 46 when she got hers!

Girl I feel you. After my third child my entire cycle (as well as body changed!) Before each cycle my breast become tender and my abdomen starts to throb...........not to mention my knees and lower back ache! My periods are truly heavier. I was once told that the lining of the uterus sheds even more after giving birth to children. Also, I would think the body is preparing itself for early menopause. I'm not a licensed physician, just giving my own opinion. Curious to read what someone else says.

Hormonal changes. If the clots are rather larger than a quarter, then have it checked out. Could be a sign of early menopause. Could be an ethic trait. Some specific group menstruates heavier than others. My sis had her period constantly after the birth of her third child.for six months before the doctors put a stop to it. Talk to your doctor. That's what you are paying them for, dear.

The possibility of you starting menopause at 33 or 46 is extremely rare, but possible. other than the fact that you are getting "more mature" and not in your twenties , you may need to schedule a Dr.s appointment to check for fibroid tumors,or any type of ovarian cancer that may be causing you to bleed more than normal. In any event don't chance your good health to us on this line, how do you know that they/we are professionals? Something that may be significant in your life should not be left for chance. SCHEDULE AN APPT. W/ YOUR DR.! :) Good luck.

I agree. It could be hormonal.

Tests your doctor should consider, in order to determine which hormones are involved are a fasting blood insulin test to rule out high insulin; a saliva test to determine if there is any feminine hormone imbalance.
