My F****** computer ate my assignment! I did it a few days ago and saved it and now its not on here. I did the search thing and it brought up 2 documents with the same name but nothing was saved on them! I know I did it and sometimes my computer saves stuff in obscure files and doesn't find them in the searches! What can I do !? Any hints? Please!!!

Check your resent documents file and look for the date you saved it.

It's not much, but have you checked your "Documents" list under the Start menu? It should show the last several things you have worked on. Or: do a search of all files modified within the last week.

You have to chose which folder you want to save your file too. Try saving something up and see what location it shows in the drop down menu. Then go try and open that folder on your own..

go to microsoft word, and look for the recent documents for recent saved/ and open files.. good luck!
