You call your credit card company instead. They will investigate for you. The cable company will have to send the signed tracking number or slip to the credit card company or the bank that paid for the package. Since the credit card company knows your signature, they will soon realize you have been ripped off and that you deserve the credit. They will issue you a credit temporarily, and then after they investigate, they will make the credit permanent.

You should be able to put through a dispute with your Credit Card Company. You can do it on the Internet through your Bank or you can call on the phone. Some Credit Card Companies give you 45 days to dispute a charge and some give you 120 Days to dispute a charge. Its very easy to do and done all the time.

Good Luck

First and foremost dispute the charge with your credit card company. They will hold payment and you will not be responsible until the dispute is settled. If the next statement has not been issued then the credit card company has not paid the cable company and they will want their money thus their actions in resolution will be faster.

If you have done any of the following it could be why you are facing this dilemma:
-Recently moved to a different adress
-Got a new telephone number
-Changed your name (unlikely but still plausible)
If any of these have happened within the past 3 months and/or time that you have been in contact with your cable company over these problems then please tell them because it may sort out the issue.

Call the credit card company and ask for a chargeback/dispute a charge. Very simple.

If it was charged to your credit card you can contact the credit card company and get the process started to be refunded your money for services not rendered and that you never asked for. Hopefully they'll find for you and not the business.

talk to your bank (that issued the credit card you *allegedly* used to pay for the modem). they should be able to reverse the charge.

YOu keep calling them and also call your C.C. company and get them to investigate it. Tell them it was a fraudulent charge.
