why is it that gothic people get called freaks and devil whossipers cause the way they dress.. but its okay for others wear their pants around the ankles and show their butts it okay... i'm getting sick of this... gothic people has a choice to dress like that... we don't call the people that wear jeans around their knees anything... why is it i dont understand this.... gothic people are not freaks or devil whossipers, they are humans too. like everybody esle

Someday it will not matter what other people say! You are an individual with individual tastes. Try to stop letting people classify you and your personality but 1st stop classifying yourself. These people, with the freedom that they earn by being Americans do choose to dress this way. They are given these names because the way they dress is so uninviting. They are different from the norm, which is Not dressing in all dark color, and Not wearing chains and belts with points, and so on and so forth. They remind others of the devil simply because of their "dark" appearance and nature. By dressing like this they segregate themselves from the others. In this way, they are to blame for their own mockery more than society is.

Anyone who chooses to dress in a manner that makes them stand out is going to get some unwanted attention; it's part of being human. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself that your eye-catching outfits actually caught some eyes, take a momen to think about all those people who CAN'T help how they look and have to suffer unwanted attention.
If you're confident in yourself and dress the way you dress because it means something to you, you simply learn to shrug off things that people say that don't apply to you. Why get upset about the opinions of people who don't know you? If you're comfortable with who you are, you'll find it easy to ignore the ignorant.

I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION BUT MY OPINION IS THAT SOMETIMES PEOPLE THINK OF GOTH AS SCARY AND DARK AND WHEN THEY THINK OF DARK THEY THINK OF EVIL. NOW AS FOR THOSE WHO WERE THERE PANTS FALLING DOWN I JUST THINK THAT SHOWS NO COMMON SENSE. MY COUSIN WOULD WARE NORMAL CLEAN CUT DRESS CLOTHES EVERYDAY HOWEVER SOMETIMES WHEN SHE WOULD GO TO A CLUB (DEPENDING ON WHICH ONE) SHE WOULD DRESS KINDA GOTHIC BUT NOT MAJOR.

I doubt that goths have never stereotyped others for the way that they dress. Also, a lot of "goth" clothing screams for attention...so why are you so whiny when you get the attention you so obviously crave?

People are ignorant. There's always discrimination of some sort. I think it's beautiful when people have their own unique style. It's more attractive and shows creativity.
