the first time that I shaved down there I used some baby oil or some lotion 2 stop the itching. Ever since then I just did the opposite, I just trim it down with a pair of sissors, so that way I wont have 2 worry about any itching.

For SERIOUS ADVICE: I have been shaving since I was 16. Be sure to use something really moisturizing when you shave (I use hair conditioner because it is the best way to go for shaving anything!), always use a sharp razor (but be careful! nicks REALLY hurt!!), shave with the growth of hair, not against it (at least until you get used to it-you will if you ride it out for a few weeks) and be sure to use a noncomedogenic, unscented lotion to moisturize with. When it gets really bad, you can use a little antibiotic cream with analgesic-you can get them over the counter and it helps relieve the misery temporarily. The more you sweat, the worse it will be, try to wear breathable, looser undergarments while you adjust.
Some people will tell you to wax instead-I've done it a few times, and while it is a cleaner feel, I had way more ingrown hairs than I do shaving, and it isn't a cost effective solution. Also quite painful.
Good luck, I do hope you feel relief soon!

I shave down there and it only itched the first time ever since then no itching. The key is to not let it grow back for to long. That is what is itchy to me. Try using baby oil when you shave it helps with razor burn and nicks. Plus if it is really long use a hair trimmer first then a razor.

I used to shave it bald and noticed that at first it might itch but if you keep it shaved and smooth it eventually stops itching (until you start growing it back out)

No to shaving...bcuz of the itching....bad, bad itching. I trim closely with scissors. Nice & neat, no itching. But then I also don't wear a bikini or anything that would show anything too up close and personal.

The "itching" is from the hair growing back in. To stop the itch - let it grow back in or shave everyday.
