There were three of them, right? Ghana, Angola and Cote d'Ivoire. Whoa, missed two of them: Togo and Tunisia. OK, five African teams. Tunisia played alright, earning a tie in their pool. Togo didn't get a single point, but they're in a tough, balanced pool (well, except for them. The other teams are about par in my mind.) Angola I believe should be proud of working hard for two draws in their World Cup premier. Ghana, good job qualifying for the round of 16 (only African team to do so this year.) My favourites have to be the "Elephants". Cote d'Ivoire deserved to advance to the next phase, but I mean, Netherlands and Argentina? That's hardly a fair pool. They only lost by one goal to each of these powerhouses. They totally earned that win against Serbia + Montenegro yesterday. The African continent has produced a good set of teams this year.

Libya, Eqypt, Tunisia, Rep. of the Congo, Central African Rep., South Africa, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar, Tanzania, Kenya, Morocco. (I didn't cheat) BQ: none of the north African countries, they're still trying to get their government's in order. Central African Rep. is ruled by a baby-snatching, murdering warlord. And don't get me started on Somalia. I'd probably go to Kenya or Zimbabwe :)

I was surprised that except for ghana it was so dismal. I remember the teams nigeria fielded in '94 & '98 and cameroon in '90, they were dominant teams. Don't know what happened since.
