No. I have been on Yasmin for about 2 years and I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen for 3 years before that. I like Yasmin. From my own personal experience, my period is regulated on a 28 day cycle, I have no cramps, my period is pretty light, and it doesn't lower my sex drive like the previous birth control I was on. I have not gotten pregnant and me and my bf have sex alot. I have no side effects. The only downfall is that I pay $45 a month because my insurance does not cover birth control. But I highly recommend it. Of course your experience may be different than mine. I think the only issue some women have is that it raises potassium levels but every woman is different. With all birth control pills there is a chance of blood clotting but you should consult your doctor about that.

While people may react differently to one thing, I think Yasmin is currently in question with regards to blood clots in the state of michigan. I tried it for a short time and then l couldn't take the side effects any more. Be careful, is all I can say and listen to your body no matter what you take.
