poor little Toto. Flash forward to end...Dorothy back in Kansas and then it never comes up again. Are we to assume Gulch died in the twister? If not then this is an unresolved problem.

Oh yeah... she's gone for sure. Got her skirt tangled in the bicycle chain just as the twister hit. The twister kept pushing the pedals around and around, pulling her skirt deeper and deeper through the chewing motion of the sprocket and chain. Eventually her throat got tangled in the gears and she bled to death. Rather gruesome for a kid's show, so they cut that part out.

The last five minutes of the movie are her emerging from the coma. They had other things on their minds than Mrs. Gulch.

maybe, but that could have been part of the dream sequence about oz since they never really make it clear as to whether that might be part of the dream or not.
