Local radio has a Friday feature. Mostly one artist throughout the day.
It's almost laughable how many good songs the Stones have - with none being repeated. That's my pick.
Otherwise, I do like the Cure and Robert Smith and didn't see them mentioned so this is my honorable mention for them.

My favorite artist of all time is Boyz II Men. They aren't currently active but in the 90s they were one of the greatest acts in RnB. My fav songs by them are Water Runs Dry, On Bended Knee, and End of the Road, and also Hey Lover

It's impossible for me to list just one because I listen to so many different genres of music. Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Yonder Mtn. String Band, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Elvis Costello, and Psychedelic Furs are a few of the several bands I enjoy.
